If you have a bookshelf with lots of books, make sure to periodically dust the tops and spines of your book collection. This is one of those areas of the home that people sometimes forget about when it comes to dusting the house.
You should ideally store your books in a conditioned space at room temperature. If you put them in a basement or garage, the moisture in the air and the extreme heat can over time actually damage the books.
For the books you have stored on a bookshelf, take a dry microfiber cloth or even a soft vacuum cleaner attachment and dust off the tops of the books. This will keep them from accumulating dust over time. Here is a quick video from Expert Village on how to do this.
